The World Academy of Culture and Arts honors academician Anastas Angjeli with the title "Doctor Honoris Causa"
At the 45th Congress of the World Academy for Culture and Arts (in the session of arts and poetry), it awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to several personalities from different countries of the world; USA, China, India, Albania, Kosovo, Romania, Israel, New Zealand, etc., from various fields of science, education, culture and art..
The Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Economy and Sustainable Development at the Academy of Sciences of Albania, Academician Anastas Angjeli, was honored with the prestigious title “Doctor Honoris Causa” by the World Academy of Culture and Arts, in recognition of his academic, scientific and educational contribution in the field of humanities and economics, as well as his extensive activity in academic and institutional life.
This title also enables the membership of Acad. Angjeli in the World Academy of Culture and Art. Acad. Angjeli is also a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, with a long activity in the field of economics, science, education and public life.
In his acceptance speech, Acad. Angjeli described this recognition not only as a personal honor, but above all as an incentive to continue contributing to science and to support science, culture, education, art, journalism, and especially poetry.
Addressing the participants, academics, publicists, artists and poets present, he praised their role in preserving memory, identity and human values, emphasizing that their works are an inseparable part of the historical and spiritual journey of peoples.
In this context, Acad. Angjeli brought to attention the immortal verses of Naim Frashëri:
“You, Albania, give me honor, give me the Albanian name.”
Describing these verses as “our poetic oath to our identity, to our history, and to our journey through time,” he underlined the importance of culture, education, and poetic speech in shaping and transmitting national identity across generations.
The ceremony in Pristina thus became a special moment of unity between science, education, culture, art and poetry, bringing together academics, poets, artists and personalities from different countries.
Science illuminates the future, while culture, education, art, and poetry preserve the memory, identity, and spirit of a people.
